Breakfast was fabulous, our room was very comfortable, our view was great, not what we had hoped for but we booked too late to be choosy.
The man who checked us in, Evo, remembered us from eight years ago. He didn’t just say he remembered, he remembered that we farmed and what we farmed. Evo remembered why we were there eight years ago. We remembered him, but for him to remember us was amazing. Eight years ago we only stayed 3 nights in this hotel, Evo definitely made us feel welcomed. He mentioned he would like photo with us before we left but that didn’t happen. We hope to be back in two years. Evo, we will make sure a photo happens then.

The hotel was situated in close proximity to free parking. Our hosts, Marta & Sergio, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view through which we could see the lovely village of Alquezar. The queen size bed was perfectly comfortable. Meals were beautifully prepared and served in the dining room with a city view. All the food was sourced from nearby farms. There is also a large patio available for dining.
We'd only planned an over-night stay but remained for 3 days due to the charm of the village and the activities available. There is a (maybe 3 mile) loop hike by the river and another hike to see bronze-age petroglyphs.
Our stop at the Hotel Vinoteca was one of the highlights of our 3-week trip through southern France and northern Spain.

We loved all the history and the walks that started in Alquezar. Then in the evening after you have freshen up there are various restaurants that you can go to. The only warning I would give to anyone is that it is very hilly and loads of steep steps you have to climb to get around. Therefore if you have any mobility issues, this is not the place for you.

The apartments are really nice, very clean and secure. Alquezar is a truly beautiful medieval village with so much to offer. Angel was very friendly and welcoming and was on hand if we needed help. The apartments are close to some really nice restaurants who sold excellent food at a decent price. Parking is literally a few steps from the gates of the property.
The heating worked really well so it was nice and cosy for us.
There is only a small supermarket in the village but Barbastro has a number of good supermarkets. We found Mercadona very easily and got all the supplies we needed there.
I would recommend this property to other travellers.

I didn't know what we were getting into when I booked a hotel there, it was just a good location on the map. The town itself is small but quaint, all medieval. It's in a very interesting place in the mountains (not not super high up) with an impressive landscape. There are walking, hiking trails, a camping near by and probably lots of climbing to be done. However, I was with a person with limited mobility so we didn't do any of that. The roads are cobblestone and hilly and a bit challenging for that, but if you are in good health than it's probably a nice 2 or 3 day trip.

Parking is available for free within walking distance of the hotel and they have an elevator! Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. Stunning view of the alquezar from our room. I'd definitely stay here again!

Amazing place, (out of season), in season....? Wonderful scenary in the Rio Véro canyon, ideal for hot weather and a swim. We ate in a good tapas bar Villacomtal, off the arched square Rafael Ayerbe, on a shady terrace overlooking a gorge.

Marta sent us lots of information ahead of our visit so that we could book activities in advance. She also gave us lots of suggestions on arrival.
The hotel is very modern and uncluttered. Our room had a lovely balcony with amazing views of the castle and surrounding scenery.
Marta also suggested we park our motorbikes in her garden, even though the free parking just outside the hotel seems very secure.
The Location of the hotel whilst difficult of access with a car is absolutely glorious in terms of views . The staff particularly the breakfast waitresses where very friendly .
