Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Modern facilities, clean, functional. Well placed next to the main street leading into the town. Free parking available if you come with a car. Good choice for one night stay. Recommend, especially that the choice of hotels in town is a bit limited.

The place is amazing, views over Aswan and the Nile are incredible. Rooms are really intricately decorated. The food is delicious and the staff are really friendly and helpful. They can help arrange tours making everything very easy. It's not far from the Nubian village and a short car ride into Aswan.

Honey is a wonderful host. He is very kind, helpful and hospitable. He was always ready to assist, and was very honest about things you ask him. I really appreciate that. Apart from the above, the room was nice and clean. Wifi was good and stable. Location is nice and quiet.
The hotel was excellent. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The rooms were excellent, the pools beautiful and food and drinks great. The location was just what we wanted and our visits to the Temples went very very well.
The proximity to the lake was a real highlight.
Will go back one day. I hope

Definitely recommend staying overnight here.
Definitely recommend staying overnight here. We booked a driver to take us (group of 3 adults and 2 children) leaving at 9:30am from Aswan, stopping for a quick 10mins at Aswan High Dam on the way, and then going to our guest house (Kabara Nubian Lodge) for lunch. We then went to the temples for about 3pm - this was definitely a good time to go as there were hardly any people there and by about 4:45pm we were able to get solo photos inside and outside the temples. We returned back to Kabara for dinner and then our driver took us back to see the light show - which I'd recommend. You also get to take a few night shots of the temple lit up.
I chose to get up in the morning to view the temple at 6am, as this is when the light hits the front. This aspect definitely did look good - but when I arrived at about 6:05am there were already a couple of coach tours on site and by the time I left at around 7am it was super crowded with at least 15 coach loads of people. I hate to think how busy it would have been by 8am! It was definitely the right choice to visit the day before in the afternoon!

A must visit historical place with a experience of a lifetime. We visited the sun festival on 22nd February 2024. Though initially we were disappointed with the long queue, the queue moved up easily and we were able to see the rays from 'Ra' shinning on the three statues. While waiting at the queue take time off frrom gazing at the magnificient temple to look east towards the "Ra" rising over the lake. The paintings on the walls are flawless specially more so when you begin to imagine that they were done thousands of years ago. Must visit the nefartari temple. Try the coffee by Lake Nasser.

Must see if you are visiting Egypt.
Must see if you are visiting Egypt. I rate these temples above Pyramids and I have a reason for that. I think Pyramids and other sites in Egypt you will see, admire and appreciate but they won’t stay with you for too long. But Abu Simbel temples will stay with you and will leave an impact not only because of their grandeur but also because of the reason they were built and unprecedented effort it took to save them from being flooded and submerged forever. And despite being so enigmatic themselves, they give you some perspective..It’s been a few days that I have visited these temples but still when I close my eyes l, they appear in front of me…

Beautiful temples.
Beautiful temples. Worth also looking into the other temples in the desert such as Aurora, wadi el-sabua anf Dakka. It is also a quiet & peaceful small town worth taking a few days to relax and enjoy the resort
