The spectacular view of the sea, quiet and close to the promenade. Friendly and hospitable staff. We had a holiday with a big family of 10 people and lived in 3 appertment next to each other, wich made us easy to gather for dinners and spend time together. I definitly recommend this place.

A very nice apartment for a reasonable price, with a lovely garden, located in a quiet district but close to the sea promenade and the gateway to the Jasmund National Park. It's so close to nature that one day we even saw three roe deer walking across the garden. Quite a different kind of place compared to the busy sea resorts in the south of Rügen Island. The host was very welcoming and gave us a few tips for traveling around.
Overlooking the Bay of Binz and Sassnitz Pier, this hotel offers bright rooms and free parking. Sassnitz Harbour is a 10-minute walk away. Hotel Garni Meeresgruß was built in 1890.
Breakfast was good, always many choises, more than average
This family-run hotel is located in the heart of Sassnitz, just a 5-minute walk from the beach promenade and the harbour with its many restaurants and museums.

The town is small but adorable: a cery calm vibe. a lot of flowers everywhere, very nice restaurants, small local shops hidden on the way to the harbour, a lovely promenade along the sea. Because it's so small everything is walking distance. If you want to make your way to other cities and parts of the island, there's good connections via ship, bus and train.
The part of national park just around the corner is, in my opinion, way nicer than the upper part which is crowded and flooded with people. Of cause it depends on general vacations times but I was there in summer off holiday season and barely met anyone. All you hear and see is the ocean, birds and the wind in the trees - I find that hard to finda and I loved every second.

Nice town with good connection (trains, buses) to the rest of Rügen. The best location to reach National park Jasmund, famous chalk cliffs, boat trips to Arcona cape, etc. Sassnitz is a calm and relaxed place.

Sassnitz is a great place to relax.
Sassnitz is a great place to relax. You can make several nice trips a.o. to the national park and Konigsstuhl.
Going there by bus is easy. Some busses have a possibility to carry your bike with you. Of course you can also bike to Konigsstuhl but there are several steep hills starting from Hauptstrasse. Buy a special buscard in the bus. 9 euro and you can criss cross the isle for a month!

We went to Sassnitz for a long weekend with a teenager and a dog. The weather was unpredictable, the sea too cold for us to bathe, but we enjoyed immensely the nature and the old town: the sea, the beach, the Jasmund National Park, the Chalk Cliffs and the old town with its charming architecture both on sunny and slightly rainy days. A trip to nearby Binz proved to be a nice addition to the stay.

We were able to get around to many places ,eg restaurants,by walking and that was very good. The cruise-down to the King’s chair was most delightful.the restaurants we chose to eat at all served delicious food and had something for all of our different palates.
Great location in a quiet street opposite a well-tended park, near the waterfront and good restaurants. Clean, quiet rooms with all the necessary facilities and free WiFi. Very tasty breakfast with excellent coffee and you can even make your own waffles :) Behind the hotel there is an outdoor area with tables and chairs for the guests and a free car park. There is a lift to take guests to upper floors.
The pension is nicely located, very close to the seafront. The room was equipped with everything described on site. There was even a shoe horn, a piece that many big hotels sometimes miss. The room was spotless and neat. So was the bathroom. We could park our car for free in the pension yard.
The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful location in the older part of Sassnitz with an entrance to the national park within a few minutes walk. The apartment itself (the one with a separate bedroom) is very cosy and functional, well-equipped as well. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Higly recommended!
Such a friendly and welcoming property and environment. Original Rügen-Style in a lovely apartment, and a very individual contact with the owner. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay!
quite, easy to park, nice little cottages; maybe not the best solution when it is freezing and snowing...but we were end of April; hardly any other choice in the area of Mukran port
