The hotel was well located in Landau. The hotel environment is very nice, friendly staff. We did not have the opportunity to try the restaurants; however, the hotel is at proximity from the center. I recommend taking the breakfast with the package (all food outlets in the surrounding do not open before 10am)

Quiet historical working centre surrounded by autumnal parks...
Quiet historical working centre surrounded by autumnal parks and spaces that follow line of former ramparts. Easy to explore on foot and short stroll from station. Fascinating architecture and good links to explore surrounding region. A number of small museums. Eat in the Greek, the Viergarten Restaurant and neighbouring pub. Nice cafe food for lunch . New theatre just establishing itself for shows .

Landau is great old German market town, with good public transport links. Certainly would recommend both the Old Magazine for food, and Bagage for their Burgers. Flying from Stuttgart, and then trains via Karlsruhe, should have been easier, but the local trains seem to be as bad as the UK. Speyer techink museum is certainty worth a day trip, only an hour by bus.AAnonymous

We were given a night tour over the reptilium and it felt almost surreal to wach all these reptiles by night. The houses are tiny but they are really comfortable and fully equipped. On warm days you can sit outside, which adds space. There are supermarkets just round the corner, which reminds you that this charming leafy place is in a large city. One of my favourite hotels in the unusual category!
