Caño Negro is remote and the road is not too great but the lodge is a quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature. The place is very nice and spacious. The room is a bit outdated but looks clean. Some of the staff is not very experienced in how to put the customer on #1 but they are really friendly.

Nice accomadation. Very friendly and helpful owner. She made us mangos juice with their own mangos. My little son really liked the animals next to the accomadations.

One of the best spot in Costarica, very sweet couple, they have about 9ha botanic garden with more 150 species of trees and tropical fruits. The tour is for free. We also saw a caimans, sloths, tucans. This is magical garden in the middle of nowhere. Exlusive cousine, very cosy bungalows and nice pool. Highly recomended!

The adventure began the second I walked onto this property. Mauren checked me in, and before we could even finish with the checkin, noticed that I was getting along with some groups in the reception coming to do their tubing excursion. She said go join them, and let me take care of the administrative things after the excursion. Wow, I’m home, I thought!
The property is out of this world. A farm full of magnificent creatures. Peacocks, turkeys, a warthog named Javier, who I got to experience a love story with a pig named Rosita. I’ll never forget that experience (that I was welcomed into by the incredibly generous staff). There were even horses, toucans, sloths and monkeys on the property. INSANE.
The river on the property is absolutely magical and surreal. Spent a decent amount of time there.
Jonathan, Danier and Mauren are such beautiful souls. They showed me their world with so much love and passion. They were so patient with my broken Spanish, and took me in like a friend. I’m emotional just thinking about them. Gracias Por todo. PURA VIDA!!!

This is a beautiful, peaceful, unforgettable place run by a lovely couple, who are kind and clearly proud of what they have achieved in this small paradise. The cabins are simple, but comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, and the gardens attract birds, bats, butterflies.
The road is unpaved, but manageable with an SUV.
