I liked being able to stay in a hotel over 300 years old that still retains historic charm and ambience but is comfortable with a modern facilities. The staff were all very hospitable and the continental breakfast was generous and varied. The hotel is also conveniently located in the historic town square and a 5 minute walk from the railway station, for a Bernina Express stopover in picturesque Poschiavo.

Staff was great. Friendly, helpful, and good humoured. The room was super clean and very cute. Shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure.

The hotel was located right next to the train station. They own the area around the lake and has a very private area for the guests. We stayed 3 nights and booked the small lake-side apartment. The scenery was superb! lake in front of your door with unbeatable view. Everything was organized very well. I booked a banquet and a small cake for my wife's birthday, The staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurant was one of the best that I've every visited. And as a guest, you can book 3-course menu for only 55CHF -- this is a super good deal.

I wanted to explore the Bernina Railway and with the trains going right past the hotel it was perfect for that! There was an unexpected perk of a free Bernina train pass for the duration of my stay which was wonderful as the train was the reason for my staying there.
