Canadian Princess Lodge & Marina, hotel in Ucluelet (British Columbia)

The Canadian Princess Lodge is a beautiful historic 46-room lodge and 250 ft marina.

We had a beautiful room with a loft bedroom for the adults and two queens downstairs for the kids, and it had an amazing view of the marina. The community kitchen and the proximity to the grocery store were a god send with 3 kids.

The Cabins at Terrace Beach, hotel in Ucluelet (British Columbia)

The Cabins at Terrace Beach is a small property management company established in 2002 located in beautiful Ucluelet, BC.

We had a very sweet deal on Booking.com for a 2 beds cottage. The cabin was very clean and had everything in the kitchen to cook and be comfortable. The beds were comfy as well! The cabin felt dry and cozy and the wood beams are stunning. Bathrooms are cute and clean and the soap and shampoo etc smelt amazing. The access to the beach is short and perfect, we launched our kayaks and had a blast.

Ucluelet if a fine example of a small fishing town that has reinvented itself over a number of years. There is a very young vibe there due to young families moving in and outdoor sports like surfing being the main attractions for same.

Our hotel was within walking distance of the town centre.

Our hotel was within walking distance of the town centre. We ate at the hotel and the hotel pub and at an excellent local restaurant called Frankie's. It is easy to walk and drive around the village. Activities include touring of Pacific Rim National Park, hiking, surfing, and many other activities. It is a great area for people of all ages who are active and like the outdoors.

so many beaches and wild coastline to explore! We only stayed one night but made the most of it by seeing the town, checking out the Foggy Bean for great coffee and doing some big beach hikes around the Lighthouse. But could’ve done with 1 more night to see a few more spots.

I had been many years since I had last been in Ucluelet.

I had been many years since I had last been in Ucluelet. The town is still charming as ever. They have improved the roads and walkways. Lots of dining options. Lots of accommodations to choose from if you book in advance. Beautiful setting with a calm, sheltered harbour on one side, and a wild temperate rainforest/craggy shoreline and surf on the other. A must do is the Wild Pacific Trail.

Our trip was planned for family time in a beautiful historic fishing village with family. enjoyed a combination of both fair weather and foul as you would expect in a West Coast community in September. Great unique restaurants and cafes. Good access to local attractions: Aquarium and Interpretive Centre. Parking was a problem both in Tofino and at Amphitrite Lighthouse areas. We had to give them both a miss this time.

Was only in Ucluelet for one night. Enjoyed beers at Ucluelet Brewing, pizza across the street at Shipwreck Pizza and ended the day at the Ucluelet Lighthouse Loop. Would love to come again and explore more!

The owners (Teo and George) are incredible hosts. They go above and beyond what a typical chain hotel/motel provides and it makes one feel at home. Good location. The bed is incredibly comfy and the room has everything a person or family would need. If we ever go to Ucluelet again, this is the place we would want to stay at !!! Bravo - good to see the smaller operators in the accommodation business outperform the bigger chains.

Exceptionally clean spacy room and large comfortable beds. Fairly quiet area. Relatively close to trails and beaches (some on foot others by car). Price was good for the region of Tofino/Ucluelet (most other places appeared overpriced for the quality offered) .... Pre-arrival communication (instruction were it is, how to get there, how to self check-in/out, etc.) was both very helpful and in a pleasant manner.

The location was perfect with easy access to the Wild Pacific Trail and all of the amenities in Ucluelet. It was a very quiet residential area close to the ocean. Molly and CJ were very friendly and great hosts. Even though we came outside of the main season, there were lots of options for dining.
