Lovely spot, conveniently located next to our glow kayaking tour. We were able to find a parking spot in their parking lot, checked in early and ate a delicious dinner at the pub. Enjoyed the lovely view of the bay from the balcony, gas fireplace was fun. Bed was super comfy.

I left the property after two days, even though my reservation was for 7 days. I had several safety concerns. I booked a hotel in downtown Saanich and moved there after two days and continued my vacation at that location. My goal was to visit Butchart Gardens during my stay and I discovered that there is an affordable and readily accessible city bus that connects downtown Saanich to the garden. Saanichton itself is extremely remote and rural and requires one to have their own vehicle to get around.

We were awoken at 23:00H by someone bypassing the door lock and the deadbolt to our room. The latch prevented entry into the room and the person stopped trying to enter when we yelled out. There was no preceding knock or phone call to the room. We phoned the front desk to report the attempted break-in and the attendant indicated that it was him that had made this attempt (because there were "concerns"). It turns out they had double booked the room and the attempt to blame the unexpected room entry on us was deliberately misleading. We didn't sleep the rest of the night and this was a terrible experience

This was a lovely place in a great location - far enough from noise, crowds and the bustle of a city hotel, but close enough - a very short drive in fact - to reach these places. We visited the Butchart Gardens (a 10 min drive) and went whale watching in Victoria - slightly longer of a driver but certainly easy to do as part of your day. I don't have any negative comments about the location or the accommodation.

The room I was given had a step down as soon as you entered the room before you could turn on a light. There was a sign on the outside of the door - saying watch your step - never did I think it was a step just inside the room at the doorway - yes I did fall a few times - not hurt but could have been - really a dumb/stupid entrance to a room!!! Secondly, nobody at the motel told me at check in or ever that the room was ONLY serviced once every 3 days!! I went to the desk to complain when I had no coffee for 2 days - that's when I found out - unbelievable!!!

The host and hostess, Mark and Carolyn were so interesting and we enjoyed chatting and visiting with them. Each morning we had a "gourmet" breakfast. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The whole experience was wonderful and relaxing.

The staff were very friendly and the inn has a great look and feel. They did a good job preserving the history of the building. Breakfast was included (continental as well as sausages and eggs after a certain time). It's about a half an hour cab ride to downtown Victoria and a little over 10 minutes away from the Victoria airport. You'll need to take cabs or use a rental car to get around to the attractions in the area, but it is less expensive than many hotels in the downtown area.

Last minute hotel because the ferries stopped running . The room was fine, good bed ,wifi, tv ,bathroom and it was clean. The main hwy noise wasn't bad at night because basically it's just the road to the ferry and no one's really on it at night .

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Not giving 100% positive review just because of the price. We totally understand the region is extremely expensive and that is not the hotels fault. We thought everything was great though!

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the ferry and Butchart Gardens. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. It is the best Quality Inn we have stayed in.
