The setting is spectacular! I had perfect weather which was partly responsible, but it was such a pleasure to walk in the area. There is also an exceptional restaurant with an outstanding local chef!

Very thoughtfully appointed. Everything we needed was there and even a few things we didn’t know we needed but made it lovely experience. If we ever get back to Woody Point, The Rooms is where we will stay.

I've stayed at B&Bs many times, and this was THE BEST EVER. Jean, the hostess, is extremely outgoing, and an excellent cook. We had four breakfasts, and none were duplicated. She made the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. She put out about a dozen jars of her homemade jams on a couple days. Most importantly, Jean is a very helpful, very congenial and very knowledgeable representative of Newfoundland. Our first morning she planned our itinerary for the next few days. She recommended great restaurants. And we thoroughly enjoyed conversing with Jean during breakfast and other times throughout the day.
The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable, featuring flannel sheets and quilts Jean had made. Our rooms also had both interior and exterior doors. Plus small decks.
I had gotten MapQuest directions to the B&B, and they weren't helpful. But at critical junctions we saw signs directing us to the B&B. Just shows the level of organization!
Rocky Harbour is beautiful. Lots of great ocean views.
Rocky Harbour is beautiful. Lots of great ocean views. Many of the little shops were closed for the season which was unfortunate for us. Well worth your time to stop in, see the lighthouse, hike or just sit and enjoy the ocean.

There were a number of nicely priced restaurants and a few good gift stores. There was a nice grocery store with the basics. We attended the Kitchen Party at the Ocean View hotel. It was awesome fun. Got screeched in there! If you are not staying at that hotel it was $15 each to attend and $10 each to get screeched. Well worth it for us!
Rocky Harbour is a nice starting point for many of the attractions in Gros Morne.

Rocky Harbour is one of the few "towns" in Western Newfoundland. It is close to Gros Morne National Park. It has the essentials-- food, gas, and hotels. It's very small, a couple of stop signs.

Fisherman's Landing restaurant on the waterfront(not at the Inn) was rightly very popular which meant you could be waiting in line for half an hour.

Quaint little town with easy access to Gros Morne.
Quaint little town with easy access to Gros Morne. We had a rental car, but walked around a lot. The light house was a treat, the end of the road, by the cemetery to watch the sunset and the fishermen taking their haul out of the boat. Took the boat tour of the inland fjord, cool.

We stayed in Rocky Harbour mainly to be able to get to the Western Brook Pond Tour in Grosse Morne National Park, about a 25 minute drive from Rocky Harbour. Despite being rained out, the boat tour was amazing. The ex-fjord was stunning, and really gave us an appreciation for rocks, mountains and the Earth. It was particularly mind blowing to learn they found whale bones several hundred meters up the cliff face (in caves there) - just imagining how high the water level used to be there!

This Centre is the best because it combines so many activities in one place. I went to Rocky Harbour to visit Gros Morne National Park, booked a tour Western Brook Pond, which was guided by the same guys I could see in the hostel every day. Also, I had to get to Deer Lake somehow and these guys helped me a lot because they have a shuttle for a low price compared to local taxi. I'm more than happy that I picked up this place.
Beautiful, modern, well decorated, fully equipped chalet. Perfect for our travelling party of 2 couples.
Ideal location with close proximity to local Rocky Harbour services and Gros Morne National Park. Trevor was so helpful and accommodating for our late arrival - moose warnings and detailed directions for finding it in the dark. Great gustomer service - thank you!
