The room was very comfortable and quiet which being a light sleeper is a good thing. The service was impeccable, booked in a little bit earlier than 2pm and was no trouble for them at all. A lovely town with friendly people , nice shops for shopping. We liked Bernardi’s supermarket and bought most of the things we needed . Lots of places to eat Metropolitan hotel is our favourite place, we’ve also had Chinese cuisine, Lovely birds honey eater, butcher birds, noisy mynas in the parks . Beautiful flowers 🌷 roses in the park, toilets and. New play ground facilities for children and adults. , benches and BBQs for cooking your own meals. Lovely place for a short or long break

We went for a walk from Mayfair to town in the evening had a lovely meal at Metropolitan hotel where food and service was excellent , did some shopping around and found few bargain shops. We like the town of West Wyalong and hope to return again...
We like the town of West Wyalong and hope to return again and spend more time there to explore more. Our farm stay at Mascot Cottage was worth the 25 kms drive outside of town. Recommend more than an overnight stay here. The only thing we will avoid next time is driving at night on the mostly dirt road to our farm stay due to the Roos coming out at night.LeonieAustralia - Scored 6.06.0

Tends to be a one night stop on a road trip.
Tends to be a one night stop on a road trip. Pleased our motel room was on the main road heading out of town. Walk into town was around a kilometre, lit at night. Good to stretch your legs after a day in the car. Chose the pub (The Metropolitan) which had a 5.30 dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish / steak. A few options available for gluten intolerance.

Rooms are a nice size with beautiful linen and very comfy mattress. The King room has an ensuite, however the queen rooms have their private bathroom as a separate room. Think of it like being at home, you need to go into the mini hall to go to the bathroom. Like being at home you have a shared kitchen, dining and lounge room. It is a really lovely stay, my favourite place to stay in West Wyalong!

The bed and linen are good quality and made for a great nights rest. We liked the large bathroom which is modern and well set out. We had both lunch and dinner at the Royal which was outstanding in both taste and service. The staff are excellent and we enjoyed their relaxed and friendly welcoming.
