The facilities were spotless. The cabin was amazing.
Each of these chalets features timber ceilings, a modern kitchen, polished wooden floors and a spacious living area that leads out to a wide veranda, where you can watch kangaroos and deer wander...

Great location, in nature, kangaroos, ducks, birds just outside your porch, amazing!!
The chalet is very big, jaccuzi, massage chair, well designed and decorated, everything was thought of. Staff was very helpful.

Halls Gap Motel truly exceeded our expectations, providing a restful overnight stay. The location was ideal for exploring the area, including day trips to various attractions in the Grampians and enjoying the native flora and fauna. Being close to Halls Gap village allowed us to relax in charming cafes and shops. We were captivated by the magnificent views, where we enjoyed watching a herd of kangaroos, emus, deer, and several native birds. Additionally, we enjoyed the outdoor firepit and well-maintained landscape.

Beautiful place with private kangaroos, peacocks, emus, chicken and goats. Kangaroos come really close to the bungalows and it's super cute to observe them.
You can get fresh eggs from the chickens.
The bungalow has a private kitchen with stove, oven, microwave and fridge. This is a great place to relax for a few days or go on hikes in the national park.

Halls Gap had been afflicted with bush fires just before we came and we were expecting to see thousands of acres of burnt forest. It was nothing like that. The hiking in the mountains is simply awe inspiring. You feel like you are in a land formed by giants. I would love to return.

We love Halls Gap.
We love Halls Gap. We've been there at least half a dozen times in the last decade and still loving it. There's many trails, waterfalls and nature to explore. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

Small, but friendly town.
Small, but friendly town. Basic shops - would recommend picking up the majority of your needs prior to coming into town - but there was a great ice-cream shop, petrol station & small grocery store - good to support the locals too. Information Centre well organized. Close or easy to get to a number of walking tracks which make up the Grampians Peaks Trail - which I ran the whole length !!

It is a budget accommodation option.
It is a budget accommodation option. It was clean and the owner / manager is a very pleasant fellow.
The bathroom curtain didn't fully cover the window which left you a bit exposed in the shower - especially the woman...
The location is great, close into the town of Halls Gap and you can walk to everything.
The property is a bit on the decline and needs some TLC to restore it to its former glory. Pool table was the main entertainment and it was in poor condition with broken cues and a rip in the table.
If like us, you just want a budget accommodation option and somewhere to sleep so you can enjoy the majesty of the Grampians, then this is a good option. The mountains are out the back door (practically). We walked to Venus Pools from the hotel. So for us it was a good option and far superior to camping out.

A small village with most facilities such as a small supermarket. fuel, brewery, a small number of restaurants including the best from Punjab.
The Grampians with a number of walks suitable for children to the older group. Great vistas from the vantage points and some undisturbed forest - managed by the National Parks.
Reasonable distance from major metropolitan centre and international airport with tantalizing small towns and fascinating history en route

Halls Gap is full of happy families with children of all ages as well as serious hikers and rock climbers. The beauty of the mountains, breathtaking cliffs, stunning views, wildlife and precious wildflowers never lose their appeal to our family of three generations.

We booked the log cabin for our family of 5. It was lovely but could do with a deep clean. Carpet looked very dirty, floors were so dirty that kids feet or white socks had black bottoms. Bathroom quite dated and could do with some attention. Good kitchen facilities and the most amazing location in Halls Gap. Bunk beds incredibly uncomfortable, just worn in foam mattresses. The queen bed very firm and my parent's struggled to have a good sleep. Location was the winner here for us and the reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Clean and tidy and well-presented unit. Cooking facilities included microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Bed comfy. Shower pressure pretty good. Facilities on site included an indoor heated pool, gym and pool table as well as some bike hire (although we didn't use them). Location is a short walk to the Halls Gap Hotel, but a longer walk to the main shopping/tourist area.
It’s a budget hotel, if you want luxury don’t stay here, rooms were very clean, outside yard needs lots of work. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Meal in Tavern downstairs was fine, nothing flash.
Looks like they are gradually fixing up.
It’s got lot of potential.
