Nice location, but didn't realise the Cottage didn't have a beach view, only a garden view. Weather was great so enjoyed walking along the foreshore

Perfect home away from home. Facilities available are a nice touch e.g. board games, cheese platter, cooking staples like oil, salt and pepper, beach towels. House is very spacious for a family with teenagers and a short walk to the beach.

Reviews have already given most of the comments regarding that property. Cozy little studio with good amenities located with great surroundings. Beautiful garden and seaview from the terrasse. Host lady welcomed us politely giving us the nécessary information regarding our stay. Only time and last time we had interaction with her. In Australia hosts dont like to interact with their guests. All hosts communicate through messages. No human contact. Found strange that most owners opérating à B&B have no human contact.
The studio is located minutes from the blowhole.and we had good dinner at the lobster shack located 400 meters from the place
Bicheno was a charming seaside town. It wast easy to unwind with the shops and cafes a short five minute walk away. The local beaches, attractions and the picturesque countryside helped to make it a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed dining at the local cafes and restaurant and going for walks around the Gulch and the Blowhole which were a short drive from our accommodation. Would recommend it to travellers heading towards Coles Bay and the Freycinet National Park.

We loved staying in Bicheno and wished we had stayed longer.
We loved staying in Bicheno and wished we had stayed longer. We stayed one night, from 2pm until 10am check out. But I would highly recommend 2 or 3 nights. We loved wading out to Diamond Island and swimming at the beach, the mountain views are spectacular and reminded me of Port Douglas. The sand is so white and soft and few rocks and shells to step on. There are even orange coloured rocks around like the Bay of Fires area, some sections are nearly better than Bay of Fires. We saw seals on the rocks outside the Lobster Shack one night. I would also recommend going to the Blowhole at high tide as the rocks and view there are spectacular, some are orange too. Lovely town with range of meals and an IGA and a fantastic little surf shop. There looks to be a bush walk nearby to climb the big boulders in town. I will try that next time.

My family loves the outdoors and sights and although having an accommodation in one location is convenient it also means lots of driving to get around. We are from Vancouver Canada and use to restaurants and grocery stores open until 9pm and later. So we learned quickly we needed to have groceries on hand to cook our own meals as everything we read about for the places to eat closed up between 4 and 5 pm . The IGA grocery stores close included.

Friendly people, had a tyre fixed at the garage swiftly, lovely beach, beautiful eateries (especially Le Coq), amazing French cuisine. A great base for 3 days to travel to Bay of Fires, Freychinet, Wineglass Bay, walks and waterfalls. Lovely little town.

A pretty little walk through town.
A pretty little walk through town. A great base to explore the North. We went up to the bay of fires and had a good look around. Passed through and had a wander around St Helen’s, and went out to the pub in the paddock, and cheese factory. Also went out to the falls but walking track was closed, so we were a bit disappointed because it looked like it would have been beautiful. The Nature park about 5 mins to the north of Bichino was a highlight for us, if you want to see the Tassie devils it is the place to go, feeding times are 10am and 2pm.
The blow hole was good and we wish we had have had enough time to do the glass bottom boat. To see the penguins you have to have a tour, and the booking office is very close to the caravan Park. We stayed in a two bedroom delux cabin

Bicheno was a beaut spot to stay.
Bicheno was a beaut spot to stay. Very easy to navigate and good facilities and access to activities. The beaches are great for sitting or strolling. We did the coastal stroll from Redbill Beach to the Blow hole and we found it easy...one of us in her 60s and the other in her 70s.
We enjoyed local meals.
Went to view penguins and took the glass bottom boat trip from Bicheno. Short drive to Coles Bay for Wine glass Bay cruise - saw whales, seals and dolphins and fabulous scenery.
Only a couple of hours to Hobart to catch plane home.
Would certainly stay again.

It's cute and comfy accommodation for two. It is in a great location, a few meters from the Bicheno Blowhole. The host was really friendly and made sure we had everything. It had a very personal touch that commercial hotels lack.
The property was located about 8km north of Bicheno (Tasmania), it was quiet and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and well appointed. The breakfast hamper provided was very good.
Treed and quiet except for birdsong, Bicheno By the Bay is close to the ocean and town, with well appointed accommodation and friendly staff. Represents great value for money.
