Per visitar altres llocs des d'aquí has d'usar taxis a preus econòmics però convé regatejar preu. Pots moure't a Gjirokaster, Ksamil, Butrint amb comoditat. Són llocs molt interessants. Ciutat turística massa edificada, però amb molta oferta d'allotjament i restauració, que serveix com a bona base per visitar Butrint, les platges del sud d'Albània o l'illa grega de Corfú.
