Offering panoramic views of Lake Taupo, the luxurious self catering apartments at Baycrest Thermal Lodge feature free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The shores of Lake Taupo are only 100 meters away. We had a fantastic relaxing stay, the bed was huge and comfortable, the rooms were huge and so clean. The outdoor private mini thermal baths really sealed the deal for us, the photos do not do the property or these baths justice, it is absolutely fabulous and we found it very romantic - but families or lone travellers would also love it. It was a very central location and we were able to conveniently park and charge our car outside our flat for free. The reception lady was so helpful, she helped us find a compatible car charger as ours didnt seem to fit their outdoor sockets, nothing was a problem for her and her upbeat pleasant attitude started our stay off on the right foot. I truely can't believe this place was as cheap as it was, it's an absolute steal! I would 100% go back and my fiance agrees with me completely. It was one of the highlights of our North New Zealand road trip in terms of lodging.

Nice and cozy place. The host is absolutely excellent! It is equipped with laundry, which is really convenient. It could arrange a shuttle bus from hotel to Whakapapa ski field. Pretty chill place. Definitely wanna come back next time.

49 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Grove Turangi is a recently renovated property set in Turangi and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This is a really nice place very well thought out and nicely done to a modern aesthetic. The beds are great - the best of our stay, and the sitting and kitchen / dining area all work well. Host was very attentive and it is nice to have a washing machine! The shower is large. All in all a very nice stay. Ideal for 2 and big enough for 4.

Set just 30 km from Taranaki Falls, Waiora lodge offers accommodation in Ohakune with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as bicycle parking. Greeted by Host Bernie on arrival, which was lovely. House it self was perfect for our group and well equipped. Not to mention the location itself was amazing and peaceful. We absolutely loved out stay so much that we will definitely be back.
