Host was exceptional, host was generous with her time and provided us with things to do/see in area, host allowed us to store our motorcycle in her private garage, had use of hosts washing machine, close to grocery stores, other shops, coffee shops, wine cellars/lodges & many restaurants. Quite place with everything you need to rest and relax
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Location is hard to beat, room was spacious and there were wooden shutters to close over the street facing window that blocked out all the street noise below - very clever. Everything in the room worked as it should although there were issues with hot water supply due to a water pump requiring attention.
Overall this is a stylish and classy property and all staff went an extra mile to ensure we were well looked after.
Great location. The bed was so comfortable and although the room faced the main street, the wooden shutters blocked out noise.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I love hotels where you get 2 doors between your bed and the corridor. This was one of those, so it was nice and quiet. Although above a street, that was quiet too, especially with the wooden shutters.
This modern apartment was spacious and well furnished with comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Loved the wooden shutters. The area was great with many cafes and shops and walkable distance to the city sights. The hosts Luis and Teresa were most kind and helpful throughout.
Centrally located very close the train station and metro station. The host Joana was excellent and helpful with tips ( we followed her recommendations and get the best gelato and home cooking in Porto). Fully equipped kitchen with A/Cs and TV sets in each room. The whole apartment felt relaxed and the light blocking wooden shutters were a big plus.
My stay was perfect for what I needed. No nonsense approach, easy check in but people on hand if ever required. The room was great, very clean and spacious with gorgeous Portuguese features like the wooden window shutters. Great location, very central and not up a steep hill! Would recommend to others
I was very happy all around with this hotel. The room and bathroom were well designed and comfortable. I really liked the electronic flushing toilet. Now I want one in my home! The room was quiet in spite of all the construction in the area and this is because they had wooden shutters on the inside of the room. You could open them during the day for light in the room. The A/C worked well and the bed was quite comfortable.
Central hôtel, reasonably priced. Full of character and old-school Portugal. Wooden floors, huit chandeliers, tiles, space, comfortable leather armchairs, internal shutters, large bathroom with huge jacuzzi bath…. Breakfast included. polite friendly staff.
Beautiful and original studio room with wooden floors and stone wall. Kitchenette for cooking breakfast and light dinner. Nice and picturesque few to the city. Big windows with closable wooden shutters. Extra nice beds. Location was in the heart of the historic centre, near the river. All services around. Easy check-in and out.
