We liked every thing about the property , has all what you need for a quick stay, very quiet and we were left to get on with it , which is what we like . When we got to the lodge it was warm with a light on as it was dark when we arrived and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge was a great touch . A booklet of information on every thing you need to know about the lodge and the surrounding area with regards to food and walks , I highly recommend eating at the Holcombe Farm House Kitchen , great food and good portion size ( 4 min drive ) .

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
Sue and Ed are really great hosts. They were readily contactable for any problems (there were not any significant problems). There are lots of thoughtful touches in the cabin, including some cider in the Fridge, fresh ground coffee, cookies and milk. Sue provided us with some very helpful information and was kind enough to do some washing up for us which we had not expected. She also dropped as off at Frome monthly Sunday at Market because parking there is very difficult.
What a holiday! The hut was so cute, quiet and comfortable in stunning scenery. The host Diana was so kind and helpful but let us have our own space too. Breakfast was delicious! Perfect balance between being off grid but very well connected. Great base to explore the area from. It rained while we were there and the hut was still dry and snuggly. I highly recommend booking here to chill or to explore. Nothing else we could have wanted. Thank you so much Diana!
Lovely view of the private garden, which was great to sit quietly out in, especially during the hot weather.
The hosts were really helpful when needed, but unobtrusive, and there was lots of useful info available in the folders.
The cabin was well equipped and the little extra touches were much appreciated, and the bed extremely comfortable!
Everything exceeded our expectations. The hut was delightful, facilities perfect, generous and great quality breakfast provided, with warm friendly hosts. Will hopefully return soon.
.The bed was completely lovely ..the toilet was too far away from the hut ..kitchens far away..no electricity in the hut ..could have a clean ..not the best value for money ..the walk from the hut to the toilet through a wet field through stable horses was not lit up .shocking really !!! 😭
Great, central location and arrived early enough to get secure parking in the hotel car park.
All the staff we met were helpful, particularly Vicki and Wayne, and were up for a bit of light-hearted banter.
My evening meal was very good. I had pork chop with spring onion and chorizo mash with an amazing pineapple chutney. I was looking forward to the highly acclaimed breakfast.
Lovely little cabin. Delicious cookies and local cider as nice extras in the room.
Kitchen had all essential equipment if we had decided to cook.
Very comfortable bed.
Quiet little garden.
Friendly hosts.
It was on a farm and you had the hut away from main building in a spacious field with lovely views , very quirky we absolutely loved it. Diana is lovely , warm and welcoming.
Really warm and cosy cabin with all the facilities we needed for a weekend. Comfortable bed and good bathroom. Tasteful furnishings and nice quality bedding, towels etc. Good that they had provided all the small things eg washing up liquid and a bottle of milk to get us started. Sue was a really great host and answered all our questions with a smile!
The chalet was cosy, very comfortable and within easy access to town centre.
