Resol Poshtel Tokyo Asakusa, hotel in Tokyo

Ideally located in the Taito Ward district of Tokyo, Resol Poshtel Tokyo Asakusa is located a 3-minute walk from Drum Museum, 300 yards from Kappabashi-dori Shopping Street and a 5-minute walk from...

Almost everything was perfect. Good location and proximity to a 24hr supermarket, restaurants, train stations, etc. The facility itself is clean and decor looks updated. The staff is super helpful and clear with instructions. The beds have a lock on the bottom where you can lock your suitcase. They do offer a safety box I think but I didn’t need it. You can’t eat in the capsule bed but you can drink. They have a lovely lounge area for you to chill and eat tho. They do offer a fridge but it’s small and very packed so I would recommend not buying many things you need to refrigerate. They also hold your luggage until check in or you can pay 500 yen per hour that you want to check in early. Feels safe as well, you need your key to buzz into the elevator, the main door of the dormitory area, and the capsule beds.

Boasting a spacious public bath, sauna and on-site cafe, Anshin Oyado Tokyo Akihabara Denkigaiten- Male Only offers capsule rooms for male guests. It is a 3-minute walk from JR Akihabara Station.

My 1 night here had such an intense impact on what a nice capsule hotel is I am afraid I will never come across another capsule hotel of which reaches the same caliber of comfort, safety, and cleanliness. It taught me a new definition of clean.

Anshin Oyado Tokyo Shinjuku Ekimaeten - Male Only, hotel in Tokyo

A 2-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station and Shinjuku 3-chome station, Anshin Oyado Tokyo Shinjuku Ekimaeten - Male Only (MALE GUESTS ONLY) features an internet café, WiFi and a public bath, ...

Pros: Affordable cost, clean capsules, close to an important subway station (Shinjuku), friendly staff, free rice/drinks, free toiletries (toothbrush, comb, haircare products, etc.). Laundry (dryer and washer) available at facility with front desk staff willing to break cash into coins for you. Overall, I had an excellent stay. The guests were considerate of one another and the capsules were quiet for the most part allowing for quality sleep (they provide free ear plugs, and headphones for a built in TV inside the capsule; they also include a USB wall fan, and a universal phone charger and adapter were all provided for free, which was an excellent touch). Appreciated having two plug points inside my capsule, and the overall cleanliness of the facility. Also really loved the free 15 minute massage chair available on the second floor. I would absolutely stay at this facility again!

Hotel Owl Tokyo Nippori, hotel in Tokyo

Newly opened this summer, Hotel Owl Tokyo Nippori is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from JR or Keisei Nippori Stations. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

You can leave your luggage by the front desk. Staff can speak a bit of English. The common area is clean and has spaces to eat and charge your electronics. There's a drink machine available for free. There's a one-person elevator to access upstairs. Beds are comfortable and there is a lot of in-bed storage available. There is only one shower available after 23:00; the rest must be used before then. There are a lot of bathrooms. Top bunks feel more private, but bottom bunks have a LOT of storage space. The AC is ice cold all day. There's washers and dryers on the top floor. The washers don't need detergent. I washed at the hotel and dried at the laundromat next door.

Large room for Japanese standards. Comfortable beds. Central aircon works great and is very quiet. Staff super friendly and polite. Location next to Prince hotel up the hill from Shinagawa station is convenient. Coin laundry inside hotel. Overall a better choice for the price than slightly cheaper APA, Mystays or the like.

The private room was fantastic considering that most of my trip has been in capsule styled rooms. The price was also very fair and you'd be hard pressed to find a private room for cheaper. I loved having a private AC that I could control as most other places had a shared one people had to fight over. The staff were also very friendly and spoke English which is fantastic cause my Japanese is very poor. I enjoyed spending time hanging out in the lobby chatting with the other guests and making friends.

Conveniently placed, women-only capsule hotel near Akiba station. The capsules are good if a bit too warm, but there’s lots of bathrooms dotted around the building and a downstairs lounge for eating. No microwave, but there’s boiling water and vending machines. The downstairs shower room has laundry machines (both washer and dryer) and pyjamas are included as part of the linen. Everything gets changed every day (you can’t opt out) and they clean the place from 10-4 so you can’t hang out during the day.
