For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
We loved the beautiful countryside scenery right outside our door with amazing sunsets and sunrises. The farm animals were just gorgeous and Eeyore is very friendly. The accomodation was very clean and had everything we needed
Unique cottages hidden in the highlands with beautiful scenery. Host was super nice. We enjoy the sunrise and sunset views, with BBQ and night sky with stars, and a lot of beer (BYO).
A very unique place where you can see the sunrise, sunset and grow worm as well as Tongariro volcanoes. The environment is beautiful and comfortable, and the air is fresh.
An amazing location. Stunning views and beautiful sunrise to admire from the veranda. Cosy cottage with perfect provisions for our breakfast. Angus provided a very warm welcome. We enjoyed a walk around the family pond and ventured down to their own grotto with glow worm, just down from the cottage. The main Waitomo caves were a v short drive away. We can’t imagine why you would stay anywhere else in this area!
Sitting on the verandah and taking in the view was a highlight. It was breathtaking! The hosts, Angus and Rach were so lovely and welcoming. And the night walk just down the path to their very own glow worm grotto was nothing short of magical!
We had a lovely room off the main verandah. The breakfast room was very pleasant where we enjoyed a light breakfast. The owner was very thorough with the orientation he gave us on arrival. We were in walking distance to the pub for our evening meal.
The staff are nice and always helpful with prompt feedback. Room is clean and comfy while we are lucky to have a room close to the common area. Hot shower with good pressure.
