This hotel is expensive, very expensive, but the room is so clean and the facilities amazing that I really felt it was worth it. If you are someone, like myself, who likes extreme cleanliness, I would say this is for you. Location is central, in the heart of Waikiki, so you can walk easily to the beach, if you are a beach person. All in all, if I'll ever come back to Hawaii, this is def the place I would stay again.

Set just 11 km from Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, The Koi House with Pool offers accommodation in Kailua-Kona with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a shared... everything will be super clean. comfortable cool location. the owners are very friendly people. I would stay here again.

Boasting garden views, Hoomaikai Blessings features accommodation with patio, around 18 km from Lava Tree State Monument. A hot tub is available for guests. Friendly host, clean space, good communication, many amenities plus breakfast. The house rules are clear and sensible. We felt appreciated during our stay.

Featuring pool with a view and views of pool, Wild Blue Water is a recently renovated homestay located in Pahoa, 18 km from Lava Tree State Monument. This place is such a steal! The host is super nice and goes above and beyond with their service. We can pick fresh fruits from the surrounding fruit trees! Although we don't have time to pick them ourselves, the host has picked them for us!! Plus, there's a pool, an awesome spot to check out the sea view, and a BBQ grill. Totally loved it!

Kehena Mauka Nui Club LGBTQIA Clothing Optional features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 400 metres of Kehena Black Sand Beach and 25 km of Lava Tree State Monument. It felt like an oasis and paradise hidden away from the world. The staff and guests were so friendly, offering tips and travel advice for the island. The space was clean and everything was very well organised.

We were able to spend two nights in the Eco Lodge (on the right of the property) in September 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. A wonderful experience. Solar powered, filtered rainwater, a cute kitchen, a great bathroom, TV, gas oven... and the view of nature. Fantastically beautiful. In the evening we sat on the terrace and listened to the frogs' concert. We couldn't get enough of it. Agnes and Andrew have created an absolutely fantastic place to stay that we would happily recommend. We would stay here again and again. Ideal for relaxing and close to Volcano National Park. Communication with Agnes and Andrew was just great, contactless and very fast. Everything was perfect for us.

Have you ever been in this dilemma before: you love a place so much that you want everyone to know so the business would thrive, but at the same time, you want to keep it a secret and keep all of it to yourself just in case it gets too busy? That's how I feel about Hawaiian Ohana Home. Cosy, homey and clean, this place is a hidden gem nested in a residential area in Hilo, away from all the noise and bustling commercial area, yet it's within minutes of drive to the busy area of the town. Sitting on a gentle slope, Hawaiian Ohana Home also offers a great view of the surrounding area. However, what makes Hawaiian Ohana Home truly exceptional is its owner, Diana. I struggle to put it in words; in short, Diana is like that cool aunt that I never had: although we've only met, it felt like I came to visit a beloved family member. I could tell that other guests shared my feeling based on the atmosphere around the table at breakfast times, it felt like a family reunion. During my trip in Hawaii, I've learned that "ohana" means "family", and Hawaiian Ohana Home certainly is true to its name. If I'll drop by Hilo again, I know where I'll be staying at.

I highly recommend anyone staying in Kona wanting an incredible experience to stay here. Ricky and his wife are both extremely friendly, kind and hospitable people (as well as both being great cooks). The destination (10 min drive from town up into the hills) provides the most beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. The room was immaculately clean and much bigger than I had originally thought going by the photos. We utilised the breakfast option and were treated to a variety of delightful breakfasts along with the best coffee I had drunk in Kona that they make with their own beans. The view whilst eating there is as good as it can get as well. Could not have enjoyed our stay more here and if we go back to Kona we will certainly be staying at Hale Hualalai with Ricky.
