The room and facilities are clean. The location is very good. It’s near the bus stop and the convenience store. And if you wake up early like me and there’s no bus at that time, you still able walk to the Shingu station. The hostel has 4 bicycles to be borrowed with no charge. You can ride it around the city.

A very authentic experience with the room only being heated by a heat pump. Great location in the middle of all of the attractions. The food experience was also amazing: sitting on a mat in nicely decorated chamber with bamboo walls separating from other members staying in the temple. I also had the chance of bathing in the onsen which was amazing to have it onsite!
