The location is perfect, it looks like a movie and you can walk everywhere. We also took advantage of the place and its very convenient if you want to go to Kamikochi because there is a bus there.

It was clean and spacious. Had a dryer which helped because it was raining. Full kitchen and living room and dining room. Large bath with a shower. Also the host was really nice!

Set in Chikuma, the recently renovated おせっかいゲストハウス 昭和の寅や offers accommodation 26 km from Zenkoji Temple and 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo. This is a family-owned hostel, it's very traditional-Japanese style. The staff was all friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy. The Kitchen was amazing, pretty much got everything you need.

Guest House Keimichi was an extremely welcoming and pleasant place to stay, one of my favorite places I stayed at on the trip. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I am very grateful for letting me leave my baggage for an extra night as well as for helping me with the buses. It had nice common spaces where you can meet other travelers—I met some really nice people there :) The facilities are very good. I especially enjoyed the possibility to use the bikes, which defined my time in Hakuba. Highly reccommended!
