After doing a lot of hotel breaks we decided on a self catering cottage. An Bothan cottage sounded ideal for what we were looking for - it didn't disappoint!! A gorgeous quaint wee cottage that had modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Catriona the owner had even left us freshly baked wheaten bread and marmalade which was a lovely treat. We adored staying here and will definitely be returning soon.

I couldn’t say enough good things about this accommodation. it is spotlessly clean, with beautiful room and large bathroom. The host was so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge range on offer - never had such a variety of foods in a B&B before. The location of the property is perfect for access into Drogheda and is so easy to get to. The next time I’m back in Drogheda, I will definitely stay here.

I couldn't recommend a better place to stay while visiting Carlingford it's walking distance to the town,bars and restaurants, it's located across from the pier so the scenery is amazing. Will definitely stay again.

Our host made a great breakfast for us and even sat and ate with us, filling us in on a lot of the local lore and color. We stayed here to be close to the Bru na Boine passage tombs, which were amazing, but staying here was amazing too. Big property, not far from Dublin. Great hosts! Like home - you take your shoes off before you go upstairs to your room.

The building has really good and strong bones. knock bridge has a number of historic plus sea, where CuChullain finally met his death in An Tain Bo Cualigne (I not sure of the spelling)
