The room was super clean and comfortable.

We came back very late and the kitchen at the restaurant was closed but girl at the reception asked chief to prepare cold plates for us. We had an amazing rooms for one family, it was very comfortable. The french breakfast was tasty. I will definitely come back.

Location is excellent, room was exactly like advertised. We got a taxi from the train station to the hotel late at night, it dropped us off nearby and pointed us in the direction. This was confusing. Otherwise great stay at a great hotel. We found many breakfast places nearby …, recommend in the market square area. Hotel had great suggestions for restaurants, we tried two and both were great. We recommend this hotel for a great time in Nice.

La Maïoun Guesthouse ligt in Nice in de regio Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, op 500 meter van het strand. Het biedt een terras en uitzicht op de tuin. The couple who run the hostel (Adrien & Solene, along with Thomas) made it feel homely & welcoming. They also spoke English which was useful as I don't have much French. The maximum number of guests was 20, with 2 dorms (mixed x8, female-only x8, private room x2 people). I was able to socialise with other guests & had a couple of day trips with some. My mixed dorm had a lot of room, including a sofa and table, a modern bathroom/toilet, an insect screen to allow open windows on hot nights, lockable storage, with padlock supplied, solid wooden framed bunks with curtains for added privacy, along with headlights & a powerpoint. There was another shared toilet. Breakfast was included, and sometimes we had homemade cake. The lounge/dining room had a microwave & fridge for simple food preparation & storage. There was a balcony for 2-3 people to sit, or for smokers. In the front of the hostel, was an enclosed courtyard with tables & seating.
