It was ideal for our travelling group (5 persons/3 rooms) for our two night stay. As it is 14kms from the town centre of San Jose de Maipo and, even considering there are a few dining options within 5kms, we decided to eat in and use the BBQ facilities. While this means going to the supermarket for essentials it was well worth it, relaxing on the deck with good Chilean wine. The owner, Christian, set the BBQs up and got the fires going (his specialty). The cabins are well appointed and the sound of the Maipo River is music to the ears. Communication with the owner is via WhatsApp and his responses were always immediate.

We loved everything about this property, it was nice and secluded, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, the rooms were great and cozy, staff were super friendly and helpful. What a beautiful property. We loved relaxing by the fire pit with a glass of wine at night and waking up to a fresh & extensive breakfast spread. The quality of nearby restaurants varies pretty widely, so it was nice to have the dinner option in the hotel as well. The unique, Gaudi-inspired design of the property was gorgeous, but it was the gardens that really blew me away. I recommend joining the free guided hike, but note that it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours if you need to check out that day. While short, parts were strenuous & it is in Spanish. The area caters to local travelers but was one of our favorite stops in our 2 week trip around central & northern Chile. The hotel is about 1 1/2 hours from the hot springs, which was a stunning & slightly terrifying drive.

The property is very well constructed...I'd say the best we've experienced of any cabana we rented....and we've been here 2 months! The shower has hot, dependable steady water and the wood flooring in the shower is a nice Euro touch. Really, the nicest quality cabana we've stayed in.

Wonderful place and hosts. GPS gets you there without problems. Nice hot tub (extra cost) and swimming pool. Hosts are extremely helpful and gentle. I had a massage (Carolina). She is an angel!

The accommodations at La Casa de Carlitos will provide you with a patio and a terrace. pool was great....both of them! Breakfast and coffee was whatever I asked for, they provided. I used their hot tub, and it was also great. Many restaurants around. Completely surrounded by mountains. Wineries were 40mins away.
