We rented this home for Christmas and hosted our family and extended family for Christmas Eve dinner. The host was incredibly lovely to work with—responsive, kind, and helpful during the booking process and throughout our stay. The home itself was beautiful and provided a cozy space for our gathering. However, we did encounter a few challenges with the kitchen that made hosting a bit more difficult. A few hours before check-in, we were informed that the refrigerator wasn’t working. While we appreciated the advance notice, it required us to make last-minute arrangements to keep our pre-prepared food fresh, which added some stress. Later in the evening, we realized there was no ice available because of the fridge issue, which we hadn’t accounted for. We also found that the provided coffee beans were expired. Hoping it wouldn’t make a difference, we brewed a pot, but unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t drinkable. Overall, we appreciated the lovely home and the host’s hospitality, but addressing these small issues in the future would make the experience even better for guests. Despite the hiccups, we enjoyed our holiday stay and are grateful to the host for her kindness.
