Incredible views from the room every morning, great kitchen and living area. Clean, well equipped bathroom and very comfortable bed. Pool was great and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly! Loved the close proximity to the gorgeous private beaches and free usage of paddle boards and kayaks.

The house was absolutely stunning, with so much charm and attention to detail. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and felt right at home. The location was also fantastic – quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to everything we needed. It’s a place we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Terrible Experience – Highly Not Recommended We had the worst experience during our stay at NZ Country Home in Whangarei. We booked the entire house, expecting privacy and comfort for our family, but what unfolded was completely unacceptable. While we were cooking in the kitchen, the homeowner suddenly entered without any prior notice, which was extremely rude and unsettling. To make matters worse, they started switching off the lights without explanation. This kind of intrusion is entirely inappropriate and violates basic hospitality standards. Later, we discovered that the owner was staying in the garage, which was not disclosed upfront. This raised serious concerns about privacy and security. We reported the incident to Booking.com, as we feel such behavior is a major breach of trust and safety. We strongly advise against booking this property. Save yourself the trouble and find a place that respects its guests' privacy and provides a safe environment.

Ross & Shelley were very accommodating, we arrived late at night , they’d left us clear instructions and had put the heat pump on for us so it was nice and warm when we arrived.     Superb location with stunning views over the bay. It was beautiful watching sunrise from here. Exceptionally accommodating and friendly hosts. They went above and beyond to make the stay easy and comfortable with personal touches such as home made bread and muesli. Very clean property and gardens. Able to park easily. The property was large with lots of room for two people.
