I was looking forward to staying here cos it sounded a step up from my usual accommodation, but the rooms have very little natural light (& even with the lights on I couldn't see into my bags) the key didn't work (was wrong one), couldn't get on the wifi for hours, & then the toilet leaked (clean water luckily) So I was given another room (smaller) with one less window. Bed was wonderful as we're female staff. Disappointing overall.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere. Facilities are really good even if to be a hostel it's missing a shared kitchen, but this is definitely compensated by the all day offer of coffee, tea, water and fruit. Toilets and showers are well organised.

The property is stunning and so well curated that you can see that care that has gone into it. Every fixture, fitting and decoration has been carefully selected. The location is absolutely perfect and you are on the door step of the entro area. The staff are also amazing and a HUGE thank you to Carlos who made me feel so welcome, he’s an absolute credit to Casa Carmen and in my experiences travelling around Mexico he truly is a memorable individual and refreshing to speak to.
