Al Nawatef was a wonderful adventure camping lodge. Our host, Mohammed, was friendly, accommodating, and spoke good English. The rooms were basic but included comfortable beds, a propane heater (we visited in late November and the nights were cold), and a bathroom with shower and hottish running water. It was NOT glamping, but it was GREAT. Our first night, Mohammed drove us out to meet a guide in the amazing valley below the camp, who took us on a guided hike ending at a shepherds camp, where they roasted chicken, rice, and potatoes for us under a barrel (fire chicken, they called it) while we swapped stories and used a headlamp to track a fox's run around the sheep pen. The next night, we ate delicious dishes in the camp dining room with fellow travelers from the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. It was exactly what I wanted: conviviality, good simple food, quiet accommodations, and a sky filled with stars. The view from the camp was stunning. The Dana valley is like the grand canyon and Cappadocia combined: amazing.

Wonderful place to visit Dana Biosphere. Sohaib and his family were so warm and welcoming and helpful. His mother is a fantastic cook who prepared vegetarian Jordanian dishes for us. The view of the valley is stupendous and the sunsets sublime. The room as comfortable and new. Highly recommended…

We were looking for a nice place to discover the Dana valley. We found more. We discovered a huge soul within our tenants, as kind as the desert soul. We never forget this encounter in a so wonderful place. Btw the facilities was absolutely amazing. Go on. This is the place for hiking and have a real rest in good hands.

Then the guide Ahmed took me to a very nice hike between mountains in the Dana Natural reserve. He cooked for me and I felt very safe. He also has a lot of knowledge about the reserve. Definitely raccomand him and the trail.

Dana Sunset Eco Camp is a fantastic accommodation close to Dana. We arrived a bit late and the Host was super nice and spoke good English. Because he worked in tourism for a while he was able to give us great advice about where to hike and what other spots to visit in and around Dana. We had a delicious dinner and slept well in the quiet and cozy cabins. The next morning we were able to enjoy the view over the mountains stretching out in all directions and had an amazing breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I recommend it to anyone else. I will definitely be coming back.

Very quaint hotel in Dana Village, right at the start of the Wadi Dana trail. We booked the budget room but received a upgrade to one with a terrace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner helped us arrange a private transfer to Madaba at a very low cost. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.
Great location perched on a ridge away from it all, 5 minute walk to sunset views. Friendly and welcoming staff constantly refilling your glass with tea. Excellent buffet dinner and breakfast served at reasonable prices. Very clean amenities, the shared shower and toilets are in a separate building. Outdoor area for relaxing and dining. Excellent place.
Our 2-night stay was wonderful at Dana's Trail Hotel!
Beautiful location and view, friendly and hospitable staff, very clean rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner, and the hike and guide were exceptional!
Highly recommended.
The location is wonderful. We did a hike in the surrounding area and it was easily followed and gave us some great views. The tent was spotless and the bedding was freshly provided. We really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast and the tea in the Bedouin tent was lovely. It's a very atmospheric place and the staff are wonderful. Good showers too - though cold!
Everything you could expect from a Hobbit Village. Very cozy and surprisingly comfortable. The Hobbit Village is very clean, even for European standards. Even during our visit in the winter the room was warm enough with a electric heather. We had good talks with the brother of the owner at the camp fire and the mother cooked delicious food! The road to the village can be hard to find but Google Maps shows the right location.
The location on high plateau is romantic with nice views. The staff was extremely helpful, gave us all the information we needed, organised guided trip to the valley next morning. Our guide was very friendly, gave us lot of information about the region and life in Jordan in general. We had breakfast and dinner, the food was amazing, local style, anyone could find something to take.
The cottage was simple, very clean, with gas oven, private bathroom with shower. We hope we can come back again!
Nice welcome from awesome staff. Excellent location with great views. We got a free room upgrade, which was perfect! Very clean. Free tea and water all day long. Obviously quiet and you can do great hikes from there. Food was amazing! Just a small tip: bring a towel because they don't provide them and a mosquito repellent just in case. Thank you Mohamed (welcome to Jordan, Yunan) !
