The location is stunning! Just a short walk away from the glacial tongue.
The staff were SO lovely. They helped us get checked in early as we came back from a hike soaked through - I feel awful as I don’t recall the woman’s name, but she had black fair and fair skin. She was fantastic, really made us feel welcome!
The FOOD too, amazing. Not cheap but absolutely delicious - really exceeded our expectations! Beautifully presented, it felt like fine dining but with better portions!
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Hotel has a great location, you can walk to Svinafellsjokull from it. The little bar is gorgeous with incredible views. Breakfast was extensive and varied. Staff were welcoming and the lobby area is lovely. The petrol station across the road has a cheap extensive menu
Location was great - views from the bar during happy hour were wonderful. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, although a bit expensive. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were very attentive and polite. Plenty of parking. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Was great for a one-night stay.
The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the gas station and main activities id the area. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean and warm. Very good buffet breakfast.
It’s location right next to the glacier is excellent for hiking , the views are great and so far it was the only place we have seenNorthern lights. The room was warm and comfortable, bit of a tiny shower, The meal in the restaurant was excellent…not cheap but properly cooked, well presented food with vegetables! we had Arctic char and were served 2 large pieces each on delicious mashed potato and celeriac with julienne carrots. The beds were comfortable and warm.
Excellent location. You can walk from the hotel to visit the glacier behind. Plenty of free parking. There is a large bar upstairs with a good happy hour and outdoor terrace with views. For a cheap filling mean, pop across the road to the diner attached to the petrol station opposite
