In the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, close to Yukemori Observatory, OMOLOSO Hostel オモロソウ ホステル features a garden and a washing machine. The location is amazing. It's convenient, close to public transport and also close to many sightseeing areas. You also get a great view of Beppu from the area around the hostel. The interior of the hostel is fantastic, you could spend hours looking at all the decorations and talking about your favorite shows. Tosi was also an incredible host who went above and beyond to make my stay as special as possible.

We love this place everything it’s amazing if you like nature camping this is the place , perfect location few activities, the staff spoke English made it easy for us , staff very friendly and attentive, our stay included breakfast and dinner and let me tell you was delicious great wine selection as well, I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful this place is, 10 out of 10 indeed. I highly recommend the Grand Verde Resort!!! You won’t regret it

Situated 44 km from Resonac Dome Oita, 湯布院月灯り offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. Bed and breakfast run by a lovely lady, who gives reccommendations for things to do and see nearby and in general is very helpful. Feels like staying with family! Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the small onsen.

Ideally situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Tsuru no Yu is situated 1 km from Kinrinko Lake, 26 km from Beppu Station and 37 km from Oita Station. Nice quiet corner beside a river with running water sounds, beside a rice Paddy field facing mountain views. Breakfast is great, Japanese style with many small dishes serving. Imagine after a morning spring bath your breakfast is ready to serve you that feeling is so great.

Located in Beppu in the Oita region, with Beppu Station and Select Beppu nearby, Hakka provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent location, right in the city centre Kitahama district, 10 minutes walk from the Beppu station, surrounded by restaurants. The sushi place right next door was excellent, with the best miso soup I have ever had! The property is spacious, very clean, excellent facilities for self-catering, good toiletries. We stayed for 3 nights and it was an oasis to come back to after a tiring day of being a tourist. My wife didn't find the futon beds comfortable (too thin) but I had no complaints. The heating worked well on cold mornings. The layout of the WC, separate from the wash basin/laundry area, and shower/bath was a bit weird but no problem at all.

Guesthouse RETURN, a property with free bikes, is located in Kitsuki, 37 km from Oita Station, 41 km from Kinrinko Lake, as well as 1.6 km from Kitsuki Castle. Very convenient location to explore the Kunisaki peninsula by car. The owner is super friendly and helpful. This accommodation has everything you might need. There were all the cooking utensils(rice cooker, several pans, fridge, Japanese cups and plates etc). The room was spacious and spotless clean. Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. We had an amazing stay. The owner welcomed us and helped us book several activities and onsen in beppu. She even walked us to a nearby restaurant (everything else was closed and without her, we wouldn't have had the chance of having a real meal). The rooms were very comfortable. It was clean. Every morning we got hard boiled eggs from the onsen water. The location is also perfect. Very calm.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 46 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!
