Stayed here in Oct 2023 for the first time and it was faultless, so rebooked this for my next trip. It was again faultless. Clean, spacious, and great value for money. The staff from reception down to the cleaning team are amazing.

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station and 48 km from Fuji-Q Highland. Staff were friendly and accommodating to us as a family travelling with a young child. We are grateful for their service. The tatami set-up in the room & common lounge makes a safe and fun place for our toddler to explore. The guesthouse is clean and comfortable, and a bus stop is just located outside the guesthouse for commuting. We loved our stay here thoroughly.

47 km from Fuji-Q Highland in Hakone, Onsen & Garden -Asante Inn- features accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. Beautiful property, beautiful area, very relaxing private onsen and wonderful staff. A nice breakfast to be enjoyed in the morning as well. The rooms are super comfortable and spacious. The staff are super friendly, the owner (I think) even drove us to one of the stations as we were leaving, we had far too much luggage at this point in our trip and it was challenging for us.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Breakfast was super good (variety and quality). All staff was very attentive and caring. Onsen was really nice and relaxing.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Booked the additional dinner. Overall good quality for a good price.

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Everything about it. Helpful staff and beautiful hotel with excellent facilities.

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. The hotel was in a quiet location, with superb nature surrounding it, all the while being within a 3 minute walk to the train station. Since it's a fairly small hotel, the onsens were always empty and available. There's also a foot bath that is open 24 hours, which is great. Special credit goes to the lounge area with a turntable and a pretty impressive collection of records.
