Helpful host who recommended a fabulous place for a meal that she frequents. One of our best accommodation stops in the past five weeks in Italy.

Aretusa Vacanze is located in a completely renovated 17th-century building at the centre of Syracuse's Ortygia Island. It offers self-catering rooms. The bed and breakfast is in the heart of the historic center of Syracuse. The owner Stefano is a very charming young man who helped us with the luggage and parking. He arranged a private city tour for us and a restaurant for dinner. His entire family, parents and kids, work in this family business. The breakfast was great with a wide selection of sausages, croissants, eggs, bacon, coffee, etc. and was served on a roof terrace. There is an elevator in the building which is very helpful. Very easy communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend this property for your stay in Syracuse.

The view of the harbors and Ortigia was incredible!! The location is ideal for being able to drop off luggage at the door, park in the parking lot, and explore Ortigia on foot! The hosts were super responsive when we had questions.

We booked two rooms, both were spacious, clean and modern. Vittoria was awesome…quick communication, met us on arrival and clearly explained everything to us. She was back next morning with a lovely Italian breakfast feast and made us our morning coffee. Half an hour after we left we received a call advising us of clothing left behind. Quick turn around and I was very appreciative to have my items in my possession. Location is great for local shopping, with about a 20 mins walk to entrance to Ortigia.
