The host made us feeling like home. She is extremely welcoming, prepares amazing breakfast, coffee and house-made lemonade in-between. I can definitely recommend the offered tour to the Tatacoa desert. They also organized a collectivo back to neiva for us.

It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

Luna del Desierto was great for my short stay in Villavieja. The rooms were spacious and clean, the facilities were great, and the dog Luna was adorable. Kudos to the staff, including Andrea, for being super friendly and helpful with everything related to Tatacoa! Really made to feel at home.

Set in La Victoria, Hotel Estrella Casa del Ángel provides accommodation with a hot tub and spa facilities. The property has mountain and pool views. This hotel is truly amazing!! Very romantic with great desert views and a gorgeous pool. The staff was amazing and had great attention to detail. Highly recommend staying at least 2 nights to be sure to see the stars and enjoy a full day with the guide provided by the hotel. Also appreciated that they sent the guide to show us the way to the hotel once we arrived at villavieja. Would stay again.
