Kitchen was well equipped, excellent for making your own meals. The other common areas were also spacious and comfortable with a big screen TV in the lounge area. Swimming pool and outdoor areas were lovely, with space for everyone. Our host Tiago was wonderfully helpful, as was the caretaker Carmo. There was a supermarket, laundromat and coffee options close by which made it very convenient. A nice break if you're doing the Camino! We'd love to return.

There is a fisherman's base right up hill next to it which you can visit to see how fishing is done locally. A couple restaurants just over the street - one taberna and one a bit more upscale. You can take a walk around the streets nearby to see authentic Portugal. Just remember to greet people. Nice small pool and private parking as a bonus.

With a female dorm with a private washroom and real beds (not bunks) it has a cozy, homey feeling. The Villa has a huge garden and outdoors chairs, a large living room with tv and a great kitchen too. It was quiet for sleeping yet very close to train, restaurants and a supermkt. The owner was particularly kind, and a superb host, in fact the very best I have met in this country. I ended up extending my stay.EEditeSolo traveller
