The best homestay I've ever stayed in..
Prem and his family are the greatest people I've met in Nepal ( and I mean it!!). You will have an opportunity to stay with many locals and share about their culture. A lot of cute kids were always playing around, so the place was really lively.
The food was excellent and the room & bathroom were sparkling clean!
The village of Namobuddha is very authentic and the scenery stunning.
If you're lucky enough, you will also have the opportunity to meet Ian who lives there and runs a charity association to provide water pipelines for remote villages.
Trust me, go there ...that's the kind of place you will never forget.

Lovely farm and family, comfortable room and communal spaces. Easily accessible by public transit from Kathmandu and good hiking once you’ve arrived. A wonderful place to stay and learn about agriculture, meet other travelers, and eat Nepali meals.

The farmhouse is in the most beautiful rural location. We were able to eat on the roof and listen to the birdsong and look at the mountains. The hosts were very hospitable and went over and beyond our expectations of hospitality. The villagers in the surrounding area were very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend!

Excellent historic guest house full of woodworking treasures. The location is perfect for a stay in Bhaktapur, on the square and full of life right outside the door. Breakfast is generous and very good. Airport transit and day trips were arranged by the guest house. I highly recommend Peacock Guest House.

I loved everything about this place, Mr Keshab and his family are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to provide the most outstanding service and comfortable stay. The property is situated in the most beautiful, peaceful serenity overlooking the valley. The views are stunning, the rooms are clean, cosy and very comfortable equipped with hot water. The location is great. I am so glad I stayed here rather than in the town of Nagarkot itself, which is also within walking distance. It’s so peaceful and amongst the forest. Hiking trails, waterfalls and suspension bridge all on your doorstep. I ended up staying 7 nights and also ate here everyday. The food is absolutely delicious, the best food I have eaten in the all of Nepal. I highly recommend asking for a traditional breakfast over your regular eggs on toast. Everyday had a different touch and was so so tasty. Mr Keshab took me to watch sunrise and this was just magical. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t thank him and his beautiful family enough. It really feels like a home away from home. I was sad to leave. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Nepal. I will forever return when I come back to Nepal.
The breakfast and dinner were so good. Prem ‘s wife is a good chef. I really enjoyed two nights staying in this village nearby the mountains. The weather was changing at every moment. I napped a lot in my room because the wind and air was so gentle to relax there. Prem is a polite and honest man. He is also a trekking guide. I would be definitely back next time to trek with him.
The location was superb, lovely rural views, quiet road, and great location for doing day walks from through rural villages. The room was comfortable with scenic views, there is several terraces for sitting outside in the evening and enjoying the lovely ambience.
Hope you're not gonna need this one, but if your motorcycle suddenly stops, the owner (and pretty much the whole village) will help 😁 Truly pleasant surrounding.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, showed us to our rooms, shared good surrounding areas to visit etc. Room was very comfortable, spacious, beautiful views of the village in the day and at night. We ordered room service and it was great service and really good food. Breakfast was an excellent spread. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will go back again.
Super friendly owner who provided a good room, fantastic food and helped in every way possible to make this a great stay! The place is located in a peaceful village, close to the Namo Buddha Monastery and Stupa, which is a pilgrimage site. It's a short and pleasant walk to the monastery and all the roads are dust free. A perfect place to get away from the noisy and polluted Kathmandu and see how local people live.
We loved our stay at Namaste, it was a lovely break from the hustle and bustle on Kathmandu - the room was clean and had everything we needed including a beautiful view over the hills and town. The food was fabulous and the area was phenomenally beautiful! But the stand out for us was our hosts who were so kind and accommodating! We were taken on a stunning walk to Bimire where their charity has loads pipes to allow running water to reach the village. We will absolutely be back!
Beautiful place with amazing view on top of the hill, quiet and peaceful to experience the local village life and do trekking. Very friendly hosts. Thank you so much and see you next time!
If you want to be part of an authentic village for one or two weeks, the house of Bishmu en Kalpana and their 2 big sons are excellent. Everybody knows them and they know everybody.. Children of the village like to play around their house, and also they like to invite you to their homes Or into their games. The family is willing to tell you a lot of stories, if you inquire. And bring you to wonderfull places nearby the village.
Amazing place in a local village up the hills of Dhulikel. Pram and his wife are very welcoming and helpful. I was upgrated to a room with balcony. Even though the weather was bad I could enjoy the view over the valley and the montains .
There is a lot to do around if the weather allows it.
Gaia Holiday home offered a stunning panoramic view of the Himalayas. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent - best chicken curry in Dhulikhel!
