The property is, of course, fabulous and the villa very cosy and comfortable! But the highlight was the extremely attentive hospitality that strove to anticipate and meet guests’ needs, e.g., when we returned after a day out, the attendant handed the room keys to us the moment we got out of the car, so that we wouldn’t have to walk to the reception building to retrieve them. We felt very honoured that the landlady herself greeted us on the first evening and saw us off on our last day with a gift of Shinsen green tea. Such a sweet little place, came with an outdoor bath which I wasn't expecting! Was so much larger than I was expecting too so all round just a really lovely surprise. The staff were so sweet, totally recommend!

Charming location. Beautiful traditional Japanese house. We brought pot noodles as worried there would be nowhere to eat but didn't need to worry as helpful host gave us directions to an izikaya a couple of kilometres away. Good if you have a car but probably not ideal to walk at night as not much pavement or lighting. Wish we had a bit more time to enjoy setting.
