We absolutely loved the location, the cottage, and all the amenities. We got to unwind and relax watching shows on the TV and we also got to see the Northern Lights with almost no light pollution from the deck outside! Truly amazing experience. They even shipped something that was left at the cottage all the way to the US for me. I couldn't ask for better hosts and would love to come visit again one day.

Where to start, Before checking in we visited Kirkjufell and the waterfall and I think I could actually see this apartment from there :D The blue roof just shines.
Upon entering, you're greeted by a washer and dryer, which was just perfect timing for us, The apartment has so much space and is just sooo comfortable. I wanted to pack up that lovely couch in the living room and take it back home with me.
The views from both bedrooms are amazing (mountain range and Kirkjufell).

Guesthouse 43 is a great place to stay in Grundarfjordur if you need a place for a night while traveling around Snæfellsnes. It was cozy, comfortable, clean, beautiful views, and booking was very easy. The place has 3 bathrooms with all the amenities available so no worries about sharing. I highly recommend it.

Do NOT stay here! The room smelled very musty which is probably why the window as left open with an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the patio right outside the window. The bed comforters looked 20 years old, the towel as so rough as to be unusable and had bleach stains - there was only one hand towel for 4 people it the bathroom and the owners did not respond until after 3 emails ands 3 phone calls - we did to stay here - we left after 20 minutes and they refused any kind of reimbursement
