Located within the Campanhã district in Porto, SLEEPBOAT LuxLife Yatch has air conditioning, a patio, and city views. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. first time sleeping on a boat and it was an amazing experience! The host was exceptional and always made sure everything was ok. Continental breakfast was good. The bed super comfy! I did a solo trip so it was more than enough room for me. Lovely lights and AC. Can play music throughout the boat. It has beautiful views and is a lovely walk to the centre along the river.

Offering a casino and city view, Floating Experience - Casa flutuante a 25 min do Porto is set in Póvoa de Varzim, less than 1 km from Carvalhido Beach and a 13-minute walk from Salgueira Beach. We had a great stay and were very comfortable. Some highlights were: -There were thoughtful touches like bottled water and wine in the fridge as well as nice coffee pods. -The boat was much more spacious than I anticipated. -The rooftop deck was lovely to climb up on and drink wine at sunset. -It’s in a great location and was perfect for us walking the Camino -Our host was very gracious and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and things to see in town -The boat was immaculately clean and there were no signs of damp or anything like that We’d definitely stay here again!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Sunset River - Douro - Tour is set in Porto, 27 km from FC Porto Museum and 28 km from Campanha Train Station. Everything. The owner was so helpful both before and after our stay. The boat was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Marina staff couldn't have been more helpful and the location was amazing.

Offering city views, Happy Sailor is an accommodation set in Viana do Castelo, 21 km from Golfe de Ponte de Lima and 28 km from Quinta da Barca. They waited for us way past dark. That was very generous. Very nice people that made us feel welcomed. You are staying on a sailboat so expect it to be cozy

Set in Vila Nova de Gaia and only 2.2 km from Lavadores Beach, Morgane offers accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location couldn’t be better. The boat is in a nice little harbor and Porto is a nice walk’s distance.

Situated in Viana do Castelo, 28 km from Quinta da Barca and 5.4 km from Santa Luzia Sanctuary, Barco no Coração da Cidade - Iate de 5 estrelas provides accommodation with access to a garden. Staying on a boat is different from the outset, its not the standard hotel room that we are familiar with, This boat was immaculate and perfect for a stay of say two or three nights - I'm UK and we have an affinity with boats anyway so I could easily stay here longer. The level of comfort was exceptional it's not everywhere that you get air-conditioning in each cabin. The seating and facilities were fantastic, plenty of hot water for showers as well. Just to summarise - I would love to spend some more days on this boat. It's family run and they are all lovely and will only want you to enjoy your time on their boat.

AQUADOURO Yacht RADAMES - Sleep Boat Experience is a recently renovated boat in Castelo de Paiva, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. We loved the peaceful river spot and stat gazing

Comprising a terrace and a bar, Porto Private Yacht- Accommodation Douro River is a recently renovated accommodation in Porto located close to Campanha Train Station. Nice quiet Marina, cool to be on a boat, wonderful huge daily breakfast, nice people. We did a sunset cruise too (that was extra) that was wonderful. Everyone was very responsive.

Offering a terrace and river view, Douro4sailing is set in Porto, 2.9 km from FC Porto Museum and 4 km from Estadio do Dragao. The boat is 31 foot, and has a large external cockpit area under canvas. In sunny weather, the sides can be raised to provide a lovely comfortable social area. Even in poor weather, the stern canvas wall can be raised to provide a very pleasant spot for a drink - the marina staff kindly brought them down. The boat is on an inside berth in the marina, so that if, as was the case for us, there are large boats on the outside berth, there is not much sea to be seen. Inside is a saloon cabin, which can be used for eating, or converted to a bed (the "second bedroom"). Off the saloon, there is a separate toilet/shower, and the separate sleeping cabin. All are comfortable, but limited in height and space, especially the sleeping cabin. The mattress and pillows are hard. You need to be reasonably agile to get into the sleeping cabin, and to move around the toilet section. There is a coffee machine in the saloon, and a microwave, but no other cooking facilities. We had no hot water. The prepaid 2 course supper was kindly delivered, precooked, but in the process of delivery, the chips had lost their crispness. Food was otherwise OK. We provided our own wine. Overnight, there was singing and music from the marina, till after midnight, and there were the usual noises of boats and people moving. Breakfast was not served on the boat, but was available in the marina. Check in was remote, and not simple. You follow Google directions to the marina, not well signed, past the (closed) print museum, and there is a barrier next to a fishing shop. Just inside the barrier, attached to the fence, is a small box/Keysafe, opened with a code supplied by the owner. Unfortunately the key card was not inside when we opened the box, making things yet more complicated. We were never told why the card was missing. We were helped by the owner contacting an employee of the marina to let us and our car, into the marina. Overall, it was a fun experience.
