Tomas and Consu have kept the best of the original house and renovated the rest tastefully with the latest tech. Consu is a very warm host, full of great conversation and historical knowledge. Tomas the chef made the most excellent bread, pastries and granola, which filled us up for a long day biking. This is the best of private stay and warm human connection.

She recommended us a few places for our not-so-long stay and all of them were amazing. The rooms were also great and there's a Swedish homely vibe to them. Wish I had a longer stay. Änggårde B&B, a property with a bar, is set in Huse, 15 km from Gumbalde Golf Course, 15 km from När Golf Club, as well as 43 km from Visby Golf Course. We had a very nice stay. The owner was very friendly. We got a room upgrade and stayed in a triple room in the mainhouse. Beautyfull old Farmhouse with horses. Very friendly cats and dogs. Great Breakfast. Nice walks nearby. You can walk to the sea and to some cairns and stonesettings in short distance. It is September, so the restaurant was not open every day, but there are two kitchens for selfcatering.

Dating to 1861, this site includes a former royal summer residence and overlooks the Baltic Sea. If you are looking to stay in a quiet place with a royal, historical, touch, this is the place! Conveniently located close to Visby (10mins by car), the hotel sits on a cliff with the most amazing views and sunsets. We just loved the charm and history and the antique furniture and deco with a royal history. This kind of feeling just cannot be recreated in a modern setting. The uniqueness and authenticity of this place must be preserved! The staff is very friendly and easy-going and also for late arrivals or early check-out, convenient solutions are offered. We spent 4 nights here and were able to discover a lot of what the island of Gotland, and the town of Visby, have to offer. There is ample and absolutely safe parking within the (large) premises and the area is just great for (evening) walks and strolls. The ideal place to take in good Baltic Sea air, relax, enjoy and recharge the batteries. And that with everything just at the doorstep... We will most definitely return and highly recommend staying here!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Ljugarn village on Gotland’s east coast, this B&B offers bicycle rentals, a summer café and a garden terrace. WiFi and parking are free. The building the room and the breakfast room are just so beautiful. And it was so calm. The breakfast was excellent and the cups and everything was chosen with very good taste.
