Beautiful location, easy to get to by bus, and convenient for hiking. Room was spacious and comfortable. Tasty dinner and breakfast. Excellent communication with host. Provided small soap and packet of shampoo.

This accommodation is a very good starting point for discovering the Mafate area. The owner is a very nice lady. Not far from the accommodation is very nice local restaurant with nice food. It was bad for us that the lady doesn't speak English and we don't speak French :-(. Nevertheless, we agreed on everything that was needed. Breakfast is rich and varied, but you have to be able to choose ;-) - we initially did not understand the system. You are choosing 1 piece of cheese, for example, not 1 portion :-). The rooms are quite large, but for three people with backpacks it is so so. We were lucky that no one was accommodated in the other rooms, and we could use the common areas with the kitchen.

Amazing stay at L'Escale Royale, Sebastian and his wife are great hosts and made our stay memorable. Do choose their dinner option if offered, they cooked great traditional creole dinner every night. Also the place where the hotel is located. offers great views as you wake up in a valley between mountains. Just amaizng.

I was happy with my choice. In one sense, my room was fairly basic, but the property had a lot of charm. The provided free breakfast was quite nice. The best thing about this property is Hell-bourg itself. An amazing place that deserves more than a day trip. Stay one or two nights for sure to enjoy the peace, the calm, the mountain air and the incredible views.
