The owner (Dim) was incredibly helpful. He organised a safari for us and included breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Safari was super nice, we had a private jeep and a private tour guide. He showed us the most beautiful spots and managed to find a lot of elephants!! We even saw a 2 month old baby elephant with his mum. It was an experience to remember forever.

We had a wonderful stay in Udawalawe at Mango Tree House. They helped us with arranging Safari and transfer. Very clean rooms. Food was amazing! The couple that has the place were really nice and helpful. Good WiFi.

Dasun, his family and friends are really nice people. They helped us to organise tha safari, the driver was also absolutely nice with us, we had a great trip. Dasun's mom made us always a huge and extremely good meal. The cottage was also really nice and comfortable. We absolutely recommend the place!:)

Located within 16 km of Udawalawe National Park in Udawalawe, Yonan River Face Safari Resort features accommodation with seating area. Everything about this place was fantastic! Very nice owner, who made sure we had a wonderful stay. Free bikes to use. Delicious breakfast! It's an excellent and peaceful location with a beautiful view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you come to Udawalawe. HOW TO GET THERE: If you're coming by bus from Thanamalwila, insist the busdriver to stop at the busstop of Udawalawe Hydro Power Plant at the mainroad, it's a 30min walk from there. Otherwise the busdriver seems to drop off all tourists at the junction which is 4km away, collaborating with the tuktuks as you have no other option than to take an overpriced tuktuk. If you travel onward to Embilipitiya, the busstop is just a 5 min walk from the mainroad of the accomodation. Turn left and walk to the bridge. It's the starting point of the bus to Embilipitiya, where you can take another bus to the south/Tangalle.
