The property is very clean and very well maintained. I travelled with my mother and 7 year old daughter and stayed in the triple room. The room is large and very clean with free water bottles, tea and coffee provided with a kettle. The pool is very clean and well maintained. The lady who manages the place is very friendly and accomodating. The lady who is the cook and helper is incredibly lovely and helpful. The owner is also friendly and always cleaning and maintaining the property and the pool. We were so impressed by this family run accomodation. Our breakfast on both mornings were beyond amazing. So delicious and so much variety with local fish served as well. We loved everything about this property. Thank you 🙏

We arrived very late after 1 AM from Colombo via the express bus and the hosts waited for us! Room was spacious and comfortable with hot water and a/c. Breakfast spots were within walking distance. Their house faces the lake with migratory birds and can be a pleasing morning or evening walk. Host managed to arrange a scooter for us at a resonable price, which we took to visit the ancient capital and Mihintale. They have 2 teens and we chat with their daughter about the country, cricket, salaries and inflation. Host wife allowed us to use the kitchen to cut fruits. Host husband dropped us at the bus station on his tuk tuk for the next leg of our journey. I'd say it is a pleasant stay to get to know the locals better.

I stayed in their newly opened section. It was very quiet, peaceful and the staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The owner too was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I recommend this hotel.

I booked one night to see sunrise at Mihintale Rock, and I stayed 2 more because I enjoyed the place so much. The host, Kapila, is a former tour guide with expert knowledge of the area and its history; he and his family will welcome you with big smiles, fun conversation, tips on navigating Mihintale and Anuradhapura, and delicious meals. I highly recommend using the villa as your base for exploring Mihintale’s many sites (walkable from the villa) and for taking a 30-minute bus or tuk tuk to Anuradhapura. Pro tip: do NOT miss sunrise at Mihintale Rock/Temple Complex, sunset at Rajagiri Caves, a meditative walk through Kaludiya Pokuna, and a nighttime bike ride to the many holy sites of Anuradhapura.

Our stay was magnificent. The host picked us up from train station when we arrived late from Colombo. We easily discussed anything and he also rented us scooter and booked safari tour for us for reasonable price. The room was nice and breakfast just amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone.
