Very lovely seapods where you can drift to sleep to the sound of the waves against the shore and cliffside, and see wildlife like deer right at your doorstep (if you’re lucky). The seapod had everything we needed and was so cosy. There was a very strong sense of community where ingredients for dinner were sourced from the island itself, with some grown at their own croft, and others like scallops handpicked in partnership with the local divers - therefore all very fresh. The best part of our stay was, without a shadow of doubt, Sarah - the most friendly, helpful, funny host. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped into the dining area, shared with us so much knowledge and tidbits about the island, and when I stupidly left some personal items back at the property, she was so responsive, assuring and meticulous to get them back safely to me. The experience staying with SEAcroft was sublime, and worth every penny and car mileage.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Broad Bay House is a recently renovated guest house situated in Stornoway, 3 km from Tràigh Chuil Beach. Our room had a view to the sea. Food was lovely. Particularly enjoyed their porridge options at breakfast which were delicious. We also enjoyed the share platter one night and then the amazing three couse dinner the next night. Overall a delightful experience, room, meals, and hospitality were fantastic, thank you Sue and Tom. Would come back in a heartbeat.

It was just the right size for one person and is not as cramped as you might think compared to some of the old houses converted into hotels throughout Scotland. Everything was just fine and very comfortable. the owners even let me use the washing machine and dryer.
