In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Nice location, dog friendly, clean, extremely comfortable bed! Hurrah...we slept! And the little adjoining room with a microwave, plates etc etc was really useful too. Nice brekky!

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Nothing really, my friend and i had a wonderful stay at Ambleside Townhouse, the staffs were super nice, the room was clean and the breakfasts were great!

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Comfortable, clean, great location! Wonderful breakfast and host!

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.

Set in Ambleside, The Log House is a recently renovated accommodation, 8.6 km from World of Beatrix Potter and 16 km from Lake Windermere. We liked how easy it was to check in and out. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom with the big tub and waterfall shower was a beautiful touch.

Silverdale Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Keswick, 3.3 km from Derwentwater, 17 km from Buttermere, as well as 32 km from Askham Hall. Mark was very welcoming at check-in, showed us to our room & rest of the facilities Room was clean, bed was a good size & very comfy Mandy cooked a good Full English, with any variation you wanted Only a 5 minute walk from town centre Would definitely stay again
