This is the only place I'll stay in Santo Domingo. It's right in the middle of the Colonial Zone which is safe to walk around day and night for tourists. The rooftop view is STUNNING and I caught the sunrise and sunset each day. The kitchen is huge and modern and was a pleasure to cook in - just make sure to ask for a cutting knife if you need :)

It was clean, nice and quiet. The kitchen and outdoor space was very comfortable and it felt like home.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed here before, and I wasn’t disappointed. The apartment is securely gated, spacious and clean, with remote controlled aircon throughout. Great bathroom with walk in shower, just what was needed after a long flight. Collin the host is very attentive and accommodating, he proactively shared full directions to the property and even recommended his trusted driver who was on time, every time and was very helpful. Great stay all around, I would definitely stay here again. As a female solo traveller I felt comfortable and safe at this property.

The Gaia hotel is managed under an Italian Dominican couple. For us it was one of the best hotels we met here. Everything was super clean. Here you can see and notice the influence of European style and leadership. The junior suite was really great. The whole building is modern and stylishly furnished. It is located in a quiet and safe area in Puerto Plata. The room girls are absolutely great and do a perfect job. Breakfast was prepared every day with love and passion. There are also shops nearby. We can unconditionally recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone. We will come here again to this beautiful place of peace and coziness. Thank you Marina and Donino and the whole team for a few wonderful days.

Sidney, the host, will make you feel you are in home. The accommodation has everything that you need for a really comfortable stay. The breakfast was awesome too and having the recommendations of the host was great in order to better plan our days.

Nastanitev De Octopus se nahaja v mestu Dorp Sint Michiel, 1,9 km od znamenitosti Plaža Blue Bay Beach, in ponuja razgled na vrt, brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. The garden, the outdoor shower, very friendly hosts, the 4 dogs (Pai was a sweetheart and our favorite), there is a nice beach just down the street. We wished we would have spent our entire vacation here. Very relaxing location. I would recommend getting a rental car to go to restaurants and explore the island. We absolutely loved our stay at De Octopus.
