The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the dinner. It was truly exceptional, surpassing the quality of many home-cooked meals. Such an exceptional property and staff. The property is more like a spar than just a hotel. The place is so relaxing and interesting architecturally but also with tasteful bits and pieces everywhere you look. Set in mature quiet grounds which were great for walking our dog and getting away from motorway 'mode' before travelling onwards. The manageress, 'Patricia' (I think her name is) is very professional and a great host. Breakfast is oooh so good - I honestly did not want to leave.

The staff were very helpful and provided a locked garage for our motorcycle. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The restaurant accross the road was closed at night during our visit but another small restaurant a short walk was open.

This granite cottage is located in a rural area less than 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Manteigas Municipality.
