It was my first stay in such type of property and I was a bit worried about sharing bathroom thing and a room for one person, if it could be cozy as others. And actually it was the best decision to book this place instead of a hotel! I didn’t had any inconvenience with bathroom, everyone was keeping it clean and I never waited. Sometimes I even felt I’m the only one in apartment, it was super quiet.
The access to kitchen is super crucial for me rn, as far as I can’t eat many things and it’s hard for me to find food outside. Also I stayed on Christmas week, and most places were closed, but not Asian stores, so simple miso soup with tofu and edamame beans was easy to make there.
The apartment looks very new and super clean. My room was super cozy with a lot of storage shelves. It was very warm, I wish my Dublin rent room be like that. And I like the glass water bottle on the table what was super thoughtful. I’m against plastic bottles.
The shower is huge and super clean with big mirror with extra light in it what normally u can have only in 5 star hotels.
But the biggest star was a neighbor cat who was coming at night to play and watch smth with me. She makes me feel like I’m in real welcoming home. I felt sad to leave this place, it’s really very charming and super comfortable! My host, Àine :) was very helpful and quick with responses during her own holiday! I’m really appreciate that!

Comfy beds, quiet location and excellent breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly too. Cork Kent train station less than 10 mins on the bus and city centre less than 15mins away. Late checkout and long breakfast hours were a bonus too.
The hotel is very charming, in an old building with a waterfall in the yard. Shops, clubs, pubs and restaurants are nearby, the city centre is 5 min by walk. Aircoach to Dublin in the same street. Breakfast was very good and not expensive. Wlan worked very well, the beds were comfortable. I got a quiet room on request in the 3rd floor (well isolated window). I would definitely stay here again!
Excellent city centre location.
Friendly, professional staff.
Comfortable bed.
Historical building.
Quiet, private residents’ lounge.
Breakfast was excellent but should have been included in the room rate.
The swimming pool! The breakfast was great - lots of choice. The family room was very spacious . The building and its history are really interesting. Great location- very quiet, yet only a 7 minute walk from the city centre.
I stayed here for a couple of nights in visiting CUH (hospital) to visit a relative.
Staff were pleasant; the room was well-appointed though the bathroom was dated.
Charming old building, wonderful location in downtown Cork. Really quiet at night time which was appreciated.
The Imperial is a classy old-style hotel in a great location. Nice view to the front of hotel from our room and the windows seemed well sound-proofed from traffic noise.
Great location, excellent parking, warmly welcomed and lovely big airy room overlooking river. Nice facilities and walking distance to city centre. Good food and drink options, quiet room location, easy check out and helpful porter staff with luggage.
Very central location, 5 mins walk from city centre and English Market. secure parking in private park behind premises. excellent breakfast. host very helpful with advice on sights to see and how to get to them. bed very comfortable and bed made up every day and fresh towels left in room. Would definitely stay here again if back in Cork.
