Devonshire Arms, hotel in Hartington

Featuring a shared lounge, terrace, bar and free WiFi, Devonshire Arms is located in Hartington, 12 miles from Buxton Opera House and 15 miles from Chatsworth House.

The room was stunning. Our view was onto another building but it wasn't about that, the design, facilities and comfort of the room were stunning, we were blown away. The small touches like the dog bowls (even though we didn't have a dog with us, we are dog lovers and noticed them), the power show (wow!), the bed, just everything :)

The Manifold Inn Hotel, hotel in Hartington

Located in Hartington, 11 miles from Buxton Opera House, The Manifold Inn Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The location was excellent for the reason of our trip to meet with friends. The evening meals were very good with a good choice on the menu, but I was very dissatisfied with the English breakfast on the first morning as It was very greasy and left most of it, the second morning I chose poached eggs but sadly these were over cooked.

The location is at the centre of a popular village for walking. Our room at the back was quiet and not affected by the road. This is a long-established hotel in a listed building and as such is characterful. It is very informal which was good for us. Nice, new easy-to-open sash windows. Plenty of off-street parking.

Spot on location for me, quiet but close to walking centre of Hartington. Comfortable bed! Surprising how often this isn't the case. Charming cottage room. Cosy open fire in old part of main building.

Lovely old stone building in popular Peak District village, with lots of walking and exploring nearby. Staff excellent...went above and beyond to help me book the next nights accommodation at my next stop. Rooms basic but clean, quiet and comfortable. I was able to upgrade from dormitory to private room when I arrived.

I left a message because no one answered when I called twice but they have reserved the bed for my anyway. thank you 😊 buffet breakfast is worth the money! 😍😋 I also love that we have our own shower room at all female dormitory.

This attractive, well run hotel is situated in a quiet Peak District village with lovely views. Great service from staff in all areas. Spacious car parking and well appointed, comfortable room. A welcome free drink in the room and offer of a generous packed lunch (included) for the following day were great touches. Excellent breakfast and a fine quality dinner if a little on the expensive side. There is however the advantage of a local hostelry within a few yards for those who prefer pub grub meals. Would not hesitate to return.
