Cottage was just lovely, bedroom a good size and bed really comfortable. Breakfast outstanding and the host was lovely and friendly. Oh and Jeffrey was a cutie. 😀
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Lena was a great host and greeted us on arrival at her beautiful property. We were left milk, coffee/tea and cake and other essentials in the cupboards, which were most welcome. When we had an issue with something in the kitchen which was broken, it was dealt with and replaced straight away. There was a lovely private garden, although we didn't have the weather to enjoy it unfortunately, but the fresh flowers on the kitchen table were a nice touch and brought the garden inside. Fakenham is well situated for visiting the area.
Elizabeth was a great host very friendly and welcoming.
Peaceful location.
Rooms clean and comfortable.
Excellent breakfast with plenty of variety.
To choose from
Would highly recommend.
More a suite of rooms than the advertised quadruple room: a double, a twin, a separate bathroom and private lounge diner downstairs.
Excellent breakfast with fresh, homemade bread daily. Ellie is a very helpful host. Lovely walled garden. On working arable farm and livery in beautiful, unspoilt and peaceful countryside yet short journey to Fakenham and the coast
A great location for Fakenham, a quiet area and only 10 minutes walk from town.
The house is lovely and well set up, parking was no issue (you cannot park right outside though as the street is pedestrian access only). All the basics were available in the house; washing up liquid, shower gel, towels, tea, coffee etc. All the appliances in the kitchen worked and we were able to cook dinner. We had no need for contact with the host, but messages were quicky replied to. The internet worked well. The heating worked well and the shower worked well.
The property was in a great location in Fakenham. There is private parking at the rear of the property
5 minutes walk to the centre of Fakenham but the house is off the main road and very quiet especially at night.
Lena the host lives next door and is available should you have any queries.
A quirky house full of character built in the 15 hundreds with a Georgian addition added at a later date
Excellent location, fabulous, helpful staff, excellent breakfast with eggs made to your own order and fresh tomatoes.
Lively place at weekends, local people drinking outside of pub, also helpful and proud to welcome you in. Very quiet in the rooms.
Home from home 🥰
Elizabeth is charming and the house is a mix of country cottage with a bit of country club - lovely bedroom
Excellent breakfast of fresh plums from the garden and good strong coffee !
Village was quiet so very restful
