Lovely room and location. Host was knowledgeable and helpful about the area. We would stay again.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Perfect balance between traditional cosy B&B vibes and clean, modern hotel feel. Lovely room, quiet surroundings. Excellent breakfast in a gorgeous little dining room with great views towards the hills. Fantastic, friendly welcome and service.
A very comfortable and well appointed cottage, small but with everything I needed.
The bed was very comfy, the shower excellent and the kitchen very clean and well equipped.
Gilwern itself seemed friendly, fairly quiet in the evening but with a pub and small supermarket within very easy walking distance..There is easy access to the Heads of Valley road making it a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons.
As a lone traveller, I loved it.
Tastefully furnished very large room and the biggest bed I've seen. Lovely quiet surroundings, private garden, everything we could have needed. No fuss.
The house is really nice and the area is quiet, but a short walk into town. The host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She cooks an excellent breakfast!
Host Margaret was very helpful. The room had everything and it all worked. Location close to the city centre and a big Morrisons for provisions. Nice and quiet. Near a nice park.
Loved the ambience created in this quaint Lodge by the owner Gail who is a warm and welcoming host .. I saw her twice during a 4 n8ghtvsyay and did not meet another member of staff .. my room was impeccably cleaned each day .. most comfortable bed in a quiet location which is just a 10 minute walk into the town centre
